Philip Anderson is a cinematographer and A and B camera operator based in Portland, Oregon, with additional specialty skills in Steadicam and underwater operating. With more than 20 years of experience in feature films, television, commercial, and documentary production, he works closely with directors and cinematographers to help bring their creative vision to the screen through thoughtful camera movement and strong visual storytelling.
A member of IATSE Local 600, Philip is comfortable stepping into a wide range of production environments, from large union crews to smaller documentary teams. His approach combines technical precision with practical on-set experience, supporting both the creative goals of the project and the realities of schedule and budget.
Philip holds degrees in Communications and Psychology along with university certifications in Project Management and Financial Accounting. This education giving him a strong understanding of collaboration, workflow, and production logistics. He is also a military veteran having served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is available for projects throughout Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, Los Angeles, and worldwide.
